Rolando Negoita never fails to impress with his imaginative execution of fantastic briar pipes. Here the carver has shaped up a very elegant blend of twisted Zulu and contorted Cutty. The heavily ring grained bowl, which nearly resembles some kind of tear shaped acorn, transitions easily into a rather pinched, thin shank, a sliver of ebonite, and then a blonde length of bamboo, before winding its way back down into a particularly comfortable looking tapered stem. All in all it's a gorgeous creation, and entirely indicative of the kind of work this pipe maker does best. Outstanding!
