It's official, I've scoured the archive and this is the without a doubt the most outstanding Fan we've ever received from the Savinelli Autograph line; and I get to talk about it. Where to begin... oh, I know... how about the flame grain! Please allow me to wax poetic: the stummel looks like a vast arced spectrum with flame grain cascading down like a burnt sienna tinged waterfall. Only the most select briar was chosen for the piece, which is a requirement of the Autograph line: the plateau briar block must be completely absent of flaws, inspected for top-tier quality.
At first blush, the overarching form teases with something of a 'work in process' form, but if you look closely the beginning stages of a substantially sized Dublin begins to materialize, as if a fine cloth, embroidered in a pattern of briar, were shrouding the shape. This simultaneously adds character to the form while taking maximum advantage of what surely must have been one of the best blocks of the month.
