About This Pipe
Although classed as a bent Brandy, the Savinelli "628" properly sits somewhere between a bent Billiard and a bent brandy. It's nonetheless a lovely shape regardless of what one might call it, and one which sits comfortably in the hand. It is presented here in the new Tevere finish (named in honor of the Tiber river, which has fed the ancient city of Rome since its founding), featuring a medium walnut stain and gold colored shank ring featuring a "Greek key" motif, once common throughout the Greco-Roman world as a representation of renewed life (and which was originally based on the winding course of the Meander river).
