Scott Klein is a student of Alex Florov, and like Alex, he has a taste for very Ivarrson-inspired designs, with the "Fish" being the clearest example. Though we now think of the Blowfish as involving asymmetrical flanks, it is this shape, Apple bowl paired to a asymmetric, teardrop-shaped shank, that is the original design to carry that name. Scott does a fine job of keeping the original alive, I have to say, and while that shank may be quite a flourish, this briar eases into hand as naturally as any simple, classic bent Apple.
