Adam isn't an easy one to impress, being quite a skilled artisan pipemaker himself, but even he really took a shine to this Scott Klein. Quite a compact number, this Acorn packs a lot of design into a short package, presenting a shapely, eager-looking combination of gesture, flow, and form. There's an obviously Danish influence at play here, with asymmetric teardrop shank - a clear nod to Ivarsson - but even removed from any context of origin or shaping shaping school, this would still simply stand out as a beautifully sculpted piece of briar.
