The similarity between this new Beo Pear design and that of the likewise new Rhodesian is pretty obvious, and they do share essentially identical drilling and engineering, which is hardly a bad thing considering that the Rhodesian was used for the official pipe of the UPCA slow smoking competition. The aesthetic character of this Pear is however significantly different; with the bowl's center of gravity shifted higher, producing both a curvier, softer form and a longer, trimmer taper towards the transition, it possesses an attractiveness distinct from the Rhodesian's firmer, more masculine design.
