A smooth and generous handful, this Ser Jacopo double-Maxima presents us with one very large briar indeed, yet one defined by clear, easy, careful lines. There's nothing stolid or clumsy to its style, and indeed, for all its size it comes off as thoroughly controlled and refined. The flame grain is a bit of a mixed bag; the left flank definitely outdoes the right, but the birdseye covering the whole of the underside is a real knock-out.
As a bonus, while supplies last, we're tossing in a free broad-bladed plug-cutter (we just happened to have a batch of them on hand) with each Ser Jacopo pipe that comes up on a new update.
