Five out of one-thousand nine-hundred and two. That's the ratio we're looking at here; the ratio of how many Ser Jacopos Churchwardens we've seen new, to pipes from this marque in general. Suffice to say, they don't make a whole lot of these things. It's rather unfortunate, really, since from the few I've seen they do quite a fine job with these extra-long and slender stemmed compositions. Gesture is a big deal in the Pesaro school, and flow is a big part of creating an appealing gesture, with it be bold and strong or pliant and willowy, so it's no surprise really that the artisans at the central marque of the Pesaro school should have it down so well. Long, lithe, gentle and easy in its curve and re-curve, yet terminating in a sudden, lively lift to the canted bowl and its crisp, polished rim... well, like I said: Ser Jacopo has it down.
