Somehow "Dublin" just doesn't seem to suffice for a shape like this; aside from being flat up top and tapered down below, it's not much like some jaunty pocket pipe or Grandpa's trusty old smoker. It's grand, it's sweeping, it's architectural - it's a monumental sculpture of a pipe. But then again, it is also a pipe, and just like how I shouldn't go off into too fancy a flight of pretentiousness in describing it, Ser Jacopo didn't go off and forget that someone might actual want to use it to enjoy a good smoke, either. Grand as it may be, this pipe does rest sure and easy in hand, with the curve of the underside meeting the palm just where the paneling of the shank softens out into the rounded forward face of the bowl, and the rim poised just right to wrap over with your thumb.
