Ser Jacopo's Picta Picasso "22" was inspired by Picasso's largest known painting, the 1917 Curtain for the Ballet "Parade"
, which depicts a group of performers awaiting the start of the show on stage. Picasso, in fact, designed the sets and costumes for the original production - a bold attempt at "total art".
This "22" bent Billiard sports an extra-large, deep chamber with thick walls and shank for a composition every bit as ambitious. Complete with a massive saddle stem and silver accent band, it's presented here in a dark sandblasted finish - highlighting some spectacular ring grain beginning below the transition and dissipating into heavy mixed grain on the front.
