Ser Jacopo: Spongia Bent Brandy with Delecta Cumberland Mount (S3)
Product Number: 002-171-2032
Spongia appears to be Latin for "sponge", which isn't all that surprising given that this sandblasted virgin briar does bear a remarkable resemblance to the sea sponge. It's a fitting finish to a tall, robust number like this bent Brandy, as it just leaves more surface on which to display wave after wave of undulating ring grain. The natural briar feels quite organic in hand, and its plentiful blend should prove comfortable to clench as well — especially with its extra-wide bit. To contrast the briar's natural blonde hues, Ser Jacopo chose to fashion it with a rather large bit of cumberland at the mount: a final touch to round out the already handsome composition.
