About This Pipe
Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's "Head of a Peasant with a Pipe", painted in Nuenen in 11/1885, the rim of this calabash is highly accentuated and the shank has a pleasing taper all the way down to a wedding band of sterling at the mount. In between, there are torrents of windswept grain, robed in Giancarlo's famous Ruby stain. No wonder the Picta series are always such perennial best sellers.
