About This Pipe
Based on the briar seen levitating before Magritte's own face in "Good Faith", one of his alternate renditions of the theme made famous by "The Son of Man", aside from the addition of a sterling silver band sporting a sextet of his signature flying doves and a bit of extra bend to the stem, this Dublin is a remarkably faithful rendition. The angle of the bend, the gesture of the stem, the proportions of the bowl; all are picture-perfect, as it were. That's quite fortunate indeed, as this particular combination of shaping also happens to combine a natural feel in hand, a very large chamber, and a pretty easy-to-clench balance for such a generous briar. On top of all that, this rugged sandblasted rendition features a very respectable ring grain.
