About This Pipe
The Pesaro school of pipe design brought an innovative approach to the shaping of traditional patterns, and the pipe world was never the same thereafter. Many hold that the influence of Pesaro rivaled (some say excelled) the impact of the Danes in the 60's and 70's. Giancarlo Guidi is the founder of the Pesaro pipe tradition and the creator of the beautiful pipe before you. The bowl is a perfectly executed, bent panel egg that features a right fine vertical grain, with an emphasis in concentration on the left of the bowl. The gracefully arched diamond shank and bit is pure Pesaro.
