About This Pipe
Aside from the gentle curve of the stem, this Picta design hews closely to the briar seen projecting from the lips of Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa in a profile sketch by Pablo Picasso. (Curiously enough, Camarasa was a student of Modest Urgell, who also taught Joan Miro - who is also the subject of a Ser Jacopo Picta series.) This is one of the lighter, leaner shapes of the Picta lines, indeed quite elegant in proportions, something finely accented by the use of a particularly slender, detailed sterling silver ring.
