About This Pipe
Though the gentle flow of shank and stem seen here is well in line with what we expect from a fine Danish briar, Lasse Skovgaard took up a rather unusually muscular and bold combination of form and posture once things reached this bent Dublin's transition and bowl. The resulting silhouette is distinctly bolder, with a proud upward-and-forward sweep and jut that's seemingly backed up by every ounce of mass contained within the briar's walls. Of course, aside from being an interesting design, it's also a Lion grade as well, so along with all the novel emphasis on momentum also comes lots and lots of beautiful, fine-stranded flame grain, too.
