Lasse's Lion Grades earn their mane through a combination of righteous grain and what Lasse determines to be his finest shaping outcomes. While not a Lion Grade, the grain of this tempting Apple would certainly qualify it as such, and though the shape is not a breakthrough, it is absurdly attractive and a splendid example of the Danish bent Apple.
Both quintessential in the overarching Danish tradition, as well as Lasse's personal shaping aesthetic, straight and flame grain abound on the bowl/shank, and the gorgeous birdseye on the underside of the same could bring a tear to the eyes of even the most jaded collector (wipes eyes, 'honks' into a tissue, and returns to keyboard). As always, Lasse does a proper yeoman's job on the mount and bit, the former crafted from particularly well grained olivewood. Yet another winner from Lasse.
