Once upon a time there was one way to do the Tomato: broad and squat. Then came the Danish revolution and the rise of artisanal freehands with it, and now, decades later... well, the broad, squat Tomato is still alive and well, but it's also been joined by beautifully smooth and elegant brethren - like this Lasse Skovgaard. Still pretty broad, granted, but just look at that flow and line, those beautiful, easy curves, and those mischievous little flame-like flourishes of the rim. And to top it off? This flame-grained and birdseye-speckled Danish lovely still sits upright just as sure as its stolid and proper predecessors.
