About This Pipe

When Lasse made his US premiere at the Chicago Pipe Show in 2004, his most often seen shapes were the bent brandy and the bent dublin. Given that the new Danish carver arrived with 70 pipes and left with none, it would be the supreme under-exaggeration to say that they were well done and well received. As good as they were then, Lasse's brandies have moved light-years forward over the past half decade. The fact is, they have progressed to the point that Sykes and I are starting to refer to his quality of shape as beginning to come online with the likes of S. Bang, something that would normally be considered a blasphemy worthy of hanging (if we didn't have the proof in our hands). The size of this briar is slightly on the smaller side for Lasse, perhaps qualifying as a Group 3-4, if made by a certain other company, the grain continues to live up to Lasse's legendary standards. As far as the shape goes. well, see below.
