About This Pipe
When carvers play with the blowfish shape, they usually either elongate the lines, or simply exaggerate ratios of bowl to shank, shank to bowl, etc. They don't go "up". until now. Lasse manages to stay faithful to an arcing center line, maintain glorious side panels, and yet create a fish with one of the coolest senses of verticality that I have ever encountered. The cross cut grain of the center panel is righteous, and the size and definition of the birdseye on both panels. staggering.
