Stanwell is best known for its Danish style shapes, designed by some of the most famous pipe makers in Denmark, from Sixten Ivarsson to Tom Eltang to Jess Chonowitsch. That said, they also make some very attractive classic English style shapes. This "97" shape, a Liverpool, is a great example of that. While the shank/bowl junction features that visual clarity that we associate with Danish shaping, the rest of the composition could have just as easily come from Dunhill as from Stanwell.
