Smooth Bent Egg (Alexandrian) Tobacco Pipe

Among the myriad of attributes that Todd brings to the work bench, is an exquisite sense of balance and ratio. The flattened egg shaped bowl is gorgeous, but, if compositionally mishandled, would either lose its presence or worse, come off as clumsy and unbalanced. Never fear, this is Todd, and the shank that he created not only augments the identity of the bowl, but does so in a way that allows the eye to take in the composition as a whole, a very hard tightrope to walk, but he always manages it. This signature stain of Todd Johnson's is positively vibrant, vital, and does a magnificent job of highlighting the grain that a block of briar has to offer.
