The Danish approach to the Billiard, tending towards a lower mass and a long, soft taper towards the rim, can create some considerable ambiguity when it comes to discerning Billiard from Brandy. In this case, however, I'd go firmly with "Billiard", as the considerable upward lift of transition and heel, and long, convex taper do much to distribute the bowl's substance along the middle of its height. More important than nomenclature, of course, is simply the nature of the pipe itself, as an artisanal smoking instrument. And on those terms what is offered is scads of lively flame and 3/4 grain, a healthy dose of birdseye, smooth, easy lines, and backing up that grace, a good bit of reassuring substance underneath it all.
