About This Pipe
Although Tsuge's '553' bears an uncanny resemblance to their '552' it's worth pointing out that this Cherrywood is canted so far forward from its base that it can afford a shank transition from the bowl at a right angle, unlike their '552' (or your traditional Cherrywood, for that matter). This makes for a rather striking, sleek composition, made all the more rich with a bamboo shank (indicative of the Tokyo line) and a dusky walnut stain.
