About This Pipe
To many, the Horn is one of the most striking, sleekest, and all around sharp looking pipe designs made popular by the likes of Danish and Italian makers. It doesn't stand as very surprising then, that when in the hands of master carvers, Tsuge can create a piece of such beauty, and with what appears to be great ease and superb finesse. Here, this fluid shape moves from bowl to shank terminus with languid comfort, bringing with it a tumbling of fanned, wispy straight grain oriented to origin from the posterior side of the bowl's rim. Particularly fetching is the canvas of gnarly plateau that makes up the underside of the piece, in all its pleasant, tactile glory. This is the kind of pipe that has so many pipe smokers gushing over Tsuge.
