The '5493' is a, dare I say, devilishly handsome pipe. Oh, and how could I forget tall and dark? You know what, instead of "heel", I'm going to call it a "jawline". The "jawline" of this piece is strong and well defined, adding a bit more of a pointed jut than normally seen on a bent Dublin--which, by the way, is still plenty easy in hand. As the bowl rises up in a arched conical shape, you can be sure there's plenty of depth in chamber following it down to its point--all in a shadowy, black as night stain, accented by a piercing double ring of nickle.
