About This Pipe
Vauen designs often express a combination of Danish Modern and Italian neoclassical influences, and this "073" Bent Egg/Billiard shape is a perfect example of that. The superbly smooth form of the bowl and the profile's supple, simple sense of line and gesture a pure Danish, yet the deeper, sturdier transition and fuller shank and stem are clearly Italian. It's presented here in the dark, rather understated style of the Classic series, sporting a walnut finish, smoky, amber-hued translucent acrylic stem, and a sturdy, bright nickel accent.
