Walt has a penchant for a lot of things when it comes to pipemaking, and trim and elegant forms are definitely amongst them. As lengthy and lean as this Dublin may be however, it doesn't feel delicate in hand - a trick I suppose of leaving just the right amount of mass in just the right places. As someone who favors pipes of light build, I appreciate that; the more you can simply enjoy a pipe and the less you find yourself (justifiably or otherwise) worrying that you might damage it just in casual handling, the better. And regardless of shaping preferences, I expect anyone could appreciate that cross-grain pattern.
