Werner Mummert takes an unusual approach to pipe design. More accurately, he takes a lot of unusual approaches
, plural, to pipe design. And the De Stijl-inspired pieces are readily amongst his most unusual. I point out all of that so that I can point out this: this is the most striking and unusual De Stijl yet. We've seen him make use of geometric form and bold, saturated primary and secondary colors on several other shapes before, but no other has made the effect "pop" quite in the way this diamond-sectioned variation does. The best summation I've been able to muster, regarding the composition, was a cross between a model rendered in AutoCAD, Dario Argento's Suspiria
, and the sixth Doctor Who.
