About This Pipe Tobacco

Whole Virginia leaves which are specially selected are used as wrapper for all Mac baren spun tobaccos. The inlay for this very special blend is a mix of Virginia, original Mac Baren Cavendish, and just a touch of Syrian Latakia leaves. In combination these tobaccos give Latakia Blend its fresh and satisfying smoke. Like all Mac Baren spun tobaccos only a little top flavor has been added. These tobaccos are the closest you get to the natural tobacco taste.

When I learned that this was being discontinued, I bought all I could find. I'm down to two tins now, and am saving them for special occasions. I really hate how you find what you think is a partner for life, only for it to disappear on you. MacBaren, if you're reading this, bring it back! I agree with the other John S. Has the tangy flavor of most rolled tobaccos with the added benefit of a slight latakia spiciness. p.s. MacBaren has that habit with names. One would think their London Blend would be an "English"...farthest thing from it but it is an excellent burley....Read More

Although an unfortunately named blend, the latakia is only barely detectable in the periphery, this is a really enjoyable smoke. Delicate, sweet, and at times a bit of nuttiness can be tasted. I keep this one in my regular rotation.

This is my favorite blend!They should have named it something else but oh well.It is in no way an upfront Latakia blend . It is a fantastic cool smoking complex blend . My wife says the roomnote is kinda like insence [ ? ] , but she means it in a good way . It's medium in body and has a mild spice flavor that is beyond me . The Latakia is almost not there .
