Gurkha: 35th Anniversary Humidor (with 75 Cigars) Cigars
Product Number: 007-028-9001
The term Gurkha stems from the Anglo-Nepalese war, when British soldiers began referring to Nepali fighters as Gurkhas. The military prowess of these soldiers impressed the British so much that the Gurkhas became an official military regiment within the British Indian Army, their skill in battle and steely resolve having become legend. In the late 19th century, British soldiers began rolling their own cigars from local tobacco and named these cigars after the legendary regiment, cigars whose production continued in various ways for over a century. In 1989, Kaizad Hansotia founded Gurkha cigars in its modern iteration, expanding its reach and focusing on offering super-premium cigars that would come to be associated with an upper-echelon experience and the utmost quality.
To commemorate their illustrious, decades-long history, Gurka presents an all-new line of cigars: the 35th Anniversary. Handcrafted at the El Artista factory in the Dominican Republic, the blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, an Indonesian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua. The celebratory series is offered across three vitolas: a 6 3/4" x 52 Figurado, a 6" x 54 Toro, and a 6 1/8" x 52 Torpedo.
The prestigious 35th Anniversary line is further elevated by a high-quality humidor. Able to hold up to 150 cigars, this stylish humidor is dressed in a glossy, cherry-red piano finish and is emblazoned with "35th Anniversary." Upon debut, the 35th Anniversary line is exclusively available bundled with the humidor, which comes with 75 total 35th Anniversary cigars: 25 Figurados, 25 Toros, and 25 Torpedos.
