Cigar Accessories: Scott Tinker Cavatina Humidor
Product Number: 001-317-0192
Eventually, your fine cigars will require a home appropriate to the pleasure and comfort they provide. You may already have a fine humidor for that purpose, but when you're ready to house those cigars in the finest furniture available, look to Scott Tinker.
This Cavatina model (a reference to its size) holds 65-75 cigars, depending on their size. In addition to woodworking and furniture making, Tinker's background is as an opera singer; in opera, Cavatina is a short, sweet melody that does not repeat the aria proper.
Built from solid Spanish cedar with old-school, hand-planed and finished, traditional veneer woodworking techniques, its perfect tolerances would be envied by NASA. Particularly constructed for maintaining constant temperature and humidity internally despite fluctuations of temperature and humidity outside, thick cuts of quarter-sawn wood provide long term stability. Exotic woods offer a stunning presentation, with Pau Ferro for the top, Curly and Quartersawn Movingui for the sides and back, Gabon Ebony for the corner trim, and Macassar Ebony for the bottom (the bottom of this humidor is every bit as beautiful as the rest). Of course, Spanish Cedar provides the interior and core. The quality of engineering is apparent with the lid drop test: drop the lid shut, and it will pause and slowly fall into its closed position, as though cushioned. Tolerances like that are found only in the most carefully constructed humidors.
Size: 14.25" x 9.5" x 4.5"
