Use these in my Savinelli pipes, as well as my MM cobs. Does a great job of filtering out moisture, tar and incendiary what-nots, without affecting the taste of the tobacco. Wouldn't be without 'em.

Blocks moisture and cools the smoke, doesn't change or diminish the flavor of the tobacco, and has no effect whatsoever on the draw. Goodbye paper filters!

Since I bought my first Savinelli pipe around 6 years ago, and began using their marvellous balsa filters, I forgot my Comoy, my Dunhill etc. pipes forever.
The balsa filters make ALL the difference. I need say no more.
