Sometimes I like certain blends without a filter to get the most flavor, and these are a must have for any Savinelli or Rossi pipe owner. Plus they come in handy in case you run out of filters.
P.S. A lot of Savinelli estate pipes do not come with the adapter.

I don't often smoke without the balsa wood filter but if you find your filter is dirty and needs replacement but don't have one handy, this is a must.
