Unlike pipe cleaners they're re-usable as well, plus they come in several different sizes to specifically suit the cleaning out of draft-holes and stems, mortises, or chambers.

Similar to the shank brushes, which I also recommend, these little brushes stand up to the task. The bristles are stiff enough to withstand a good scrubbing but have enough give to not leave any scratches. When doing deep cleans I like to dip the brush into a cleaning solution like Clean and Cure before the scrub and it pulls away all of the gunk. These brushes are great. I use them with alcohol for deep cleaning and also dry as a final step in my regular cleaning process to remove pipe cleaner fibers. I don't use cotton pipe cleaners on my cobs due to the fiber, just these brushes. I store them in test tubes and culture tubes with screw down caps....Read More

Got a few pipes given to me when my brother passed, he wasn't the best about cleaning and following basic rules with smoking. Some work and a little determination and I was able ti get the smutz out of the Mortise on 3 pipes I knew were toast. A little soaking with Pipe masters and a few passes with the brush and the crud came off easily with a fuzzy cleaner, so I am impressed and as I am cheap the reusable aspect is very appealing to the wallet more to spend on tobacco this way less waste also....Read More
