Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies: Paragon Wax 1oz

Product Number: 001-545-0326

A special blend of microcrystalline and natural waxes, Paragon Wax is designed for use on smooth pipes and pipe stems, as well as gold, silver, bone, and other smooth materials.

With a melting point 35% higher than carnuba, and 30% harder, it's quite thick at room temperature, and should be applied with a soft cloth in small quantities, followed by a lint-free cloth to bring out a brilliant shine.

It can be used on any smooth surface, including marble, steel, silver, meerschaum, or glass, but because of its unusual hardness, it is not recommended for use on leather or other textured materials, including sandblasted or rusticated pipes. For these, Halcyon II is recommended.

Put two coats of this on your smooth finish pipes with about a minute or two in between coats and you'll see a significant difference in the shine and polish of your pipes. Highly recommend.

My Original review of this was very poor. Luckily, Smoking Pipes staff actually ready these reviews and reached out to me. Apparently that residue all over my pipes was an easy fix. If you put too much on as I did, if you take a hair dryer and melt the left over wax, it does leave a nice shine. This product isn't bad, just use sparingly....Read More

I regularly repair and restore pipes and since finding this, I can attest that the finished product looks better. It has a nice and easy to use consistency. Just my finger and a lint free cloth gets the job done. Couldn’t say more great things about it. Only wish I could buy it in a bigger container :)...Read More
Enchanted Wax!

This is a day one standard if you have smooth pipes. I take a small chunk and drop it on my pipe, I lightly press my finger against the chunk and it starts melting, its easy to spread and apply across the surface of the pipe quickly. I let it rest for 1 minute, then remove the wax carefully with a soft cloth. It really helps bring back that pop to showcase the grain and protect the stain. A bit pricey for the size but I appreciate the high quality of this product and highly recommend it....Read More

Consistency is easy to work with, after some vigorous shaking. I use my finger to dab it on and spread around the pipe, let it dry, then wipe off and buff to hearts content. No power tools needed.

Feel like your pipe is too rich in color? Just use this! Applied as I was instructed and now it looks like someone dialed back the saturation on my pipe. Was intending to protect something I liked a lot and ended up thoroughly making it worse. Worst of all it’s not even given anything but the stem a shine. Perhaps I should have known not to apply it to a Genod pipe or something, but there was no warning of that on smokingpipes.com where I bought the pipe or here where I found this “fine pipes” finish stripper. Extremely disappointed....Read More

I've been very pleased with the results I've managed to achieve on my smooth pipes using nothing more than Paragon Wax, an old sock, and some elbow grease. I'm sure I could get a higher shine using a Dremel or some other buffing tool, but I'm happy with the level of finish and protection I can manage without introducing mechanical buffing into the process. Just remember that, like most pipe maintenance products, a little goes a long way and patient persistence is rewarded with quality results....Read More
