When it comes to quality leather, Davidoff doesn't mess around. Aside from looking outright beautiful, with the kind of sheen you might more typically expect to see in the mane of a particularly meticulous brunette, in hand this roll-up pouch feels about as soft and supple as a piece of silk. Of course, compared to silk, it has a good deal more pleasing heft, a good part of which is made up by the brass hinges and leaf springs concealed within the lip of the tobacco pocket itself, which not only keep it shut nice and tight, but when opened up all the way, keep it opened as well. Once you've gotten a few pinches of your favorite blend out, a light bit of pressure over about an inch of travel, and it snaps itself tight again. An ingenious feature, with the extra leeway between the springs' open and closed positions helping make sure this pouch doesn't shut until you want it to.
