This stand works great for pipes with a higher center of gravity like churchwardens. In use, this is really more of a pipe-slipper than a stand, flexible but gives just enough stability to keep your pipe upright. Also when fully unfolded, makes for a great tobacco mat.

If you can’t clinch your pipe, this will be difficult to use the tobacco mat after packing your pipe because it is a two-handed affair to fold it back up into the pipe-stand configuration....Read More

Unlike ceramic, plastic, metal pipe rests this leather loop is grippy enough to keep even a churchwarden from falling over. In the case of the 'warden the stem trails out parallel to a table, but the pipe doesn't fall over.
