Design is ingenious and works with a wide range of bowl sizes and shapes. Aesthetics are good, and stability is as good, or better, than flimsy plastic fold-out stands. So far, longevity’s a moot point as it is well-formed, of medium weight leather, and the softer, suede-like inner surface is easy on the briar. This stand is fine in theory, but is a bit flimsy and poorly designed, as it is too forward loaded to effectively sit a pipe. Pipes resting in the stand tend to topple forward, unless you place it just right.

This is, obviously , not very expensive. And it shows. Thin, flimsy leather. Barely holds the pipe barely stays upright. Avoid this stand. There are better inexpensive stands out there!
