In this case, more specifically, a variety of steel, hardwood, and aluminum tampers. Here we find a neat and trim, rather modern design, albeit also featuring a traditional touch in the form of dark-finished scales.

I have had several of these over the years. They look good, BUT they don't last. On one, the tamper head came off, on ALL of them the springs wear out in less than a year. I consider these overpriced, throw away items.
