I tend to tear bags and lose my tobacco so was looking for something tougher. This works beautifully. The seal is good enough to hold the moisture of the tobacco for several weeks even in the dry rocky mountains. Also fits in a vest pocket perfectly.

I got one. It is what it is. Actually it's exactly what I have been looking for. Small and somewhat air tight. I know from experience how it feels to have a repurposed tin open in my pack on a hike, or a zip lock bag tear open and see my weekend camping trip's ration of wonderful tobacco spread throughout my gear like dirt. Not a must have but I really like it to use on short trips and keep my tobacco fresh on the road. Personally, I prefer it than using a zip lock bag.

No, it certainly isn't needed. If you get by just fine with ziplocks, good for you. But if you don't want to look like a hobo, or perhaps, like something with stability: this is great! Not since bottled water have we seen such an unnecessary product peddled to the weak minded; new pipe smokers being the biggest victim of these ridiculous “jars” that cost many thousands of times over another product almost everyone has in their kitchen that works just as well. For 0.02 cents instead of $12 just use a ziploc! I can’t help but chuckle every time I see this goofy product around our community....Read More
