Aladino: Corojo Reserva No. 4 Limited Edition 2021 Cigars

Product Number: 007-857-0021

Founded by Julio R. Eiroa, who helped make Camacho a major success in the 1990s, Aladino is a family project between Julio and his son Justo. Named for the movie theater that was converted into the factory where the cigars are rolled in Danlí, Honduras, Aladino offers authentic, old-school cigars. The focus is strictly on the premium tobacco used to create each cigar, calling to mind the Habanos produced in Cuba in the mid-20th century, with each leaf grown on Julio's farm and rolled in his factory.

Comprised entirely of the Eiroa farm's Corojo leaf, the Corojo Reserva boasts Cuban-seed tobaccos and is a limited edition of Aladino's regular Corojo line — the brand's crème de la crème, if you will. Offering a flavor profile that transports the smoker back to the heyday of Cuban cigar production in the '40s and '50s, the Corojo Reserva is defined by impeccable construction combined with the delightful flavor of quality tobaccos.

Very, very, very subtle cigar. Good for a beginner I suppose. Unlit, it has an earthy, strange flavour that entrigued me. Very barnyardy, almost like the smell of fish sauce. First third had very little flavour. By half way starts to develop a slight graham cracker/green pepper/dry hay taste. Unfortunately, it had a horrible burn. It refused to hold an ash, and burned very uneven. It seemed as though the wrapper was too thick, while the inner was too loose. It was mildly decent for a very light cigar, but the wrap was horrendous. It burned uneven, kept dropping the ash, and by the last third, it kept going out even while being actively smoked. By the end it was like smoking a cheap gas station cigar. It fell apart and refused to stay lit. For the price there is much better out there....Read More
