Aladino: Smokingpipes Candela Queens Perfecto Cigars
Product Number: 007-857-0039
Founded by Julio R. Eiroa, who helped make Camacho a major success in the 1990s, Aladino is a family project between Julio and his son Justo. Named for the movie theater that was converted into the factory where the cigars are rolled in Danlí, Honduras, Aladino offers authentic, old-school cigars. The focus is strictly on the premium tobacco used to create each cigar, calling to mind the Habanos produced in Cuba in the mid-20th century, with each leaf grown on Julio's farm and rolled in his factory.
In 2023, Aladino released the Candela Robusto, a cigar that we here at Smokingpipes thoroughly enjoyed. We appreciated the storied history of the Candela wrapper and the immaculate flavor, so much so that we collaborated with Aladino on a new, limited-edition release in the series that is exclusively available at Smokingpipes: the Candela Queen's Perfecto.
The Candela Queen's Perfecto features a Candela wrapper around the Eiroas' esteemed Corojo tobacco for the binder and filler. Not a specific varietal in and of itself, Candela tobacco results from the process of being heated in a specialized barn. The rapid heating process retains the leaves' chlorophyll, unlike the slower heating process that most other tobaccos undergo. Decades ago, Candela cigars were among the most popular, and Aladino's Candela is an homage to Julio's expertise with the special leaf: He was the largest Candela grower in the '80s and '90s, when Candela enjoyed its peak popularity. A distinctive and unique blend, the Candela Queen's Perfecto delights with bright notes of hay and grass, developing with hints of spice and cream.Your Price
