Alec Bradley: Prensado Gran Toro Cigars

Product Number: 007-070-0048

Indicative of this cigar's box press, the Alec Bradley Prensado literally translates to "pressed" in Spanish, and its founder Alan Rubin's homage to traditional Cuban cigar-making practices — most notably rolling the filler entubado, triple-capping the head, and box-pressing the completed cigar. The Prensado's wrapper acts as this cigars focal point, being a proprietary Corojo leaf grown in the Trojes region of Honduras. Inside, then, are Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers, offering a smooth and buttery flavor profile of rich nuance that earned the Prensado Cigar Aficionado's 2011 Cigar of the Year award.

Product: Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro
This is a really good complex cigar. My boss gave me an aged one. It starts off with savory woodsy notes, evolves into a pecan, peanut like savoryness. Throughout the smoke there is a christmas spice, like nutmeg, and it continues until about the half way point. At the halfway point I begun tasting a butteryness, and all the way to the end all I could taste was savory butter. I have found that with many Corojo cigars, there is this butter flavor, and I absolutely love it. It made strong plumes of smoke, packed with flavor, it was definitely a strong cigar, but not "Diesel" levels of strong.

I think anyone should try this cigar out, it is amazing!
