One of Ashton's flagship cigars, the Virgin Sun Grown highlights a Sumatra-seed wrapper grown on a private estate in Ecuador — the region's natural cloud cover causing the leaf to mature slower and more deeply. The farm is owned by the esteemed Oliva tobacco family, who then sends the proprietary wrapper leaf to Carlos Fuente Jr. to be used exclusively in Ashton's VSG cigar. The Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper is fermented by Fuente and rolled with four-to-five-year-aged fillers and binder from the Dominican Republic. Dark, sumptuous, and rich in flavor, the VSG has captivated connoisseurs consistently since its debut in 1999, regularly receiving 90+ ratings and delivering a flavor profile of cocoa, espresso, cedar, earth, and leather.
