Bolivar: Cofradia No. 554 Cigars

Product Number: 007-061-0009

Named for the famous liberator of South America from Spanish rule, Bolívar is an iconic brand whose history dates to the turn of the 20th century in Cuba. Bolívar cigars were particularly known for being quite full-bodied compared to the conventional profile of traditional Cuban cigars, and while the brand now also produces cigars in the Dominican Republic and Honduras, it still prioritizes bold tobaccos and robust blends.

The Cofradia cigar, meaning "brotherhood" in Spanish, is crafted in Honduras and highlights a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper around a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. It's a full-bodied cigar, perfect for experienced aficionados and fitting in line with Bolívar's historic reputation.

Novice cigar enthusiast, this is excellent. Worth more than the going rate, excellent value. I put this firmly in the chocolate camp. Not the best I've had, but I could see this being a daily smoke.

Woody, and little bit of sweetness. Burns evenly. Nice cigar.

Product: Bolivar Cofradia No. 554
Started quite nice, with a decent amount of black pepper. That went away after few puffs. No sweetness at all for me, more like unsweetened filter coffee type of flavour. Then it became kind of grassy and bitter. That did not go away, and just passed the half way point, I stopped smoking it. I just couldn't finish it....Read More
