Cavalier: Prospektor Cigars

When Swiss-born Sébastien Decoppet moved to Danlí, Honduras, in his early 20s, he built relationships with notable cigar makers, including Adin Perez of the San Judas Tadeo factory and the Plasencia family, and learned the minutia and intricacies of cigar blending and rolling. Through that experience, Decoppet launched Cavalier Gèneve cigars, and his wife Eylin contributed the idea for the brand's defining logo: a diamond composed of 24K edible gold leaf integrated into many of Cavalier's wrappers.

When it was first released in 2019, Cavalier's Prospektor cigar was a limited-edition store-exclusive, but in 2021, the brand announced that it would join their regular-production lineup. It's a singular 6" x 54 size featuring a barber-pole wrapper of two different Nicaraguan leaves from Jalapa, complemented by a Nicaraguan Habano binder and fillers from Honduras, Paraguay, and Nicaragua.
