Cavalier: Tres Delincuentes Habano Toro Cigars
Product Number: 007-897-0033
When Swiss-born Sébastien Decoppet moved to Danlí, Honduras, in his early 20s, he built relationships with notable cigar makers, including Adin Perez of the San Judas Tadeo factory and the Plasencia family, and learned the minutia and intricacies of cigar blending and rolling. Through that experience, Decoppet launched Cavalier Gèneve cigars, and his wife Eylin contributed the idea for the brand's defining logo: a diamond composed of 24K edible gold leaf integrated into many of Cavalier's wrappers.
Introduced in 2023 and hand-rolled at Cavalier's Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco SA factory in Danlí, Honduras, the Tres Delincuentes series translates to "Three Delinquents" in Spanish and draws inspiration from the 1996 song of the same name by the California hip-hop group Delinquent Habits. Cavalier's executives Sébastien and Eylin Decoppet and Sales Director Brian Motola heard the song on the radio one day when commuting back to the factory from the tobacco fields in Jamastran, Honduras, and they immediately started work on the Tres Delincuentes line.
The series comprises an Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, but with three different wrapper options — each corresponding to one of Cavalier's three "delinquents." The Ecuadorian Connecticut version features Brian's visage on the box; the Honduran Habano, Eylin's; and the Mexican San Andrés Maduro, Sébastien's.
