Curivari: Achilles Mirmidones 54 Cigars

Introduced at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show, Curivari's Achilles is a Nicaraguan puro — like the brand's other lines — and features chic, minimalist banding that calls to mind old-school Cuban cigars, a consistent theme throughout founder Andreas Throuvalas' portfolio. Unlike Curivari's other lines, though, the Achilles was blended to be their strongest, most full-bodied cigar, fittingly named after Greece's greatest warrior from Homer's the Iliad. The Achilles Mirmidones, however, is a special version of the Achilles line that originally debuted in 2015. It features the same fillers as the original Achilles but trades the Nicaraguan wrapper for a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Named after the Myrmidons — the personal soldiers of Achilles — it's a fitting addition to a Curivari series that's packed with sumptuous flavor.
