+About Debonaire
Debonaire Ultra Premium Cigars is the culmination of Phil Zhanghi III's lifelong relationship with cigars and decades of experience in the cigar industry. His father and grandfather both smoked cigars, and when Phil was old enough, he too pursued the pastime, occasionally visiting the Dunhill and Davidoff stores in New York City. At just 19 years of age, he founded Indian Tabac Company, named for the iconic American motorcycle brand. In the early 2000s, Phil transferred ownership of Indian Tabac to his partner, Rocky Patel, who soon rebranded it to Rocky Patel Cigars.
After several years removed from the cigar business, working as a U.S. Air Marshall, Phil returned to the industry in collaboration with Danny Sinclair of Durfort Holdings. Through his prior relationship with Emilio Reyes and the De Los Reyes cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, Phil founded Debonaire with Danny. The brand debuted in 2013, elevated by the Reyes family's historic tobacco farms and factory, and today Debonaire features three core lines: Daybreak, Habano, and Maduro. All feature the same blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers and Dominican San Vicente binders, but with different wrappers for distinctive flavor profiles that remain recognizably Debonaire.
